Hi, I’m Nyx Sherwin, a Kentucky real estate investor and the owner of We Buy 502. I started buying homes here in 2008 and founded this company in 2019.

In 2019, I founded the company. By then I had spent more than a decade learning title complications the hard way, building relationships with local attorneys and title companies, and working through the kinds of situations that push homeowners toward a cash buyer in the first place.

Those situations stuck with me. The family that inherited a house with four siblings and no agreement. The couple three months behind on their mortgage with an auction date circled on the calendar. The landlord who had been managing problem tenants for a decade and was finally, genuinely done.

My background in real estate goes back to 2007. I started out in property management in Bowling Green, Kentucky after graduating from Western Kentucky University (Go Tops!). That work taught me things no licensing course covers: how a rental property actually ages over ten or twenty years, what deferred maintenance does to a home’s value, and why some houses just sit on the market no matter how the sellers price them.

2008 was a great year. That’s when I bought my first property and the same year my wife Allison and I were married and have called Kentucky home ever since. In 2025, we celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary.  

Throughout the years we bought and sold dozens of properties all over Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
